Buying a laptop or a desktop computer and wondering which screen size is right for you? Then you’ve come to the right place.
Display vendors usually specify the lengths of diagonals in inches and resolutions in pixels. These numbers, however, often fail to explain the physical size of the screen. Meanwhile, you need to know the physical dimensions of a screen to get some idea of how usable it is for your purposes. For instance, high resolution on small widescreen displays results in small letters which isn’t always good for your eyes.
On this page, you can compare the physical dimensions of computer displays. The screens below are grouped by the lengths of diagonals. Select several resolutions (from one group or from different groups) and watch the comparison chart further down on the page as it displays the dimensional differences between the displays you have selected.
